Equipping a cape is super easy. If you’ve got command privileges, just type either /event or /function to choose your style. Want to change your friend's cape as a surprise? No problem! Use commands like /event entity <target> or the newer /execute as <target> run function to make the swap.

Every cape you equip updates your Elytra's look, making sure your style is seamless from head to toe. Check out the Capes Tab in-game to see the full range of what’s available. If a cape doesn’t have a special Elytra texture, it defaults to the standard, so no worries about clashing styles.

Changed your mind? You can remove your cape with specific /event or /function commands. If you’re looking to strip a cape from another player, commands like /event entity <target> capes:remove_cape will do the trick.

A heads-up for those using the "Character" skin type—installing this addon might reset your skin to default models like Steve or Alex due to a known Minecraft bug. Also, it’s best not to use this addon in your survival single-player world if you’re keen on keeping your achievements.

From version 1.19.10 onwards, the Spectator Mode can be toggled in the addon’s settings, ensuring smooth gameplay. This addon isn’t compatible with other packs that alter Cape and Elytra rendering or use Player JSON files, so keep that in mind.
